Saul & Ruby's Holocaust Survivor Band

before: Saul & Ruby, To life!

Film producent from Chicago found the article in the New York Times about The Holocaust Survivor Band. Tod Lending of Nomadic Films called me and he was shocked that no film was made about us.
Me and my friend Ruby decided to participate. It was in 2015 when we just start a band one year before. The documentary was filmed for 4 years and then was edited. In 2020 we had a premiere.

Full movie available on VOD.

Our documentary, it’s about two Holocaust Survivors who’s love music and start the band in their 80’.
Saul had 89-year-old and Ruby had 84, we decided to preach world peace and fight with anti-Semitism. Full of energy to life, full of humor but also life drama. During the filming, my wife, Clara pass away and Gina, Ruby’s wife also.
On the beginning we was called our documentary – Life is a Cabaret!
